Unclaimed Now is an independent, step-by-step guide to finding and claiming forgotten money in India: bank deposits, provident fund, insurance, mutual funds, shares and dividends.
Why this site exists
Indian banks, insurers, mutual funds and companies together hold well over ₹1 lakh crore that nobody has claimed. Much of it belongs to families who simply do not know it exists, often after a parent has died. Each type of money has its own official portal, its own forms and its own rules, and most articles online explain the news but not the actual steps.
We built Unclaimed Now to put all of it in one place, in plain language, with real walkthroughs of the official portals.
How we write our guides
- Tested on the live portal. Every guide is written by actually going through the official portal step by step. Screenshots are our own, with personal details blurred.
- Official sources only. We link to the government or regulator page behind every rule we mention.
- Dated and rechecked. Each guide shows a “Last checked” date, and we recheck guides every quarter because portals and forms change often.
- Written for families. We cover what to do when the account holder has died, with or without a nominee, because that is where most people get stuck.
What we never do
- We are not a government website and are not linked to RBI, EPFO, IRDAI, SEBI, IEPFA or any bank, insurer or fund house.
- We never ask for your PAN, Aadhaar, account numbers, policy numbers or OTPs.
- We do not file claims for anyone and never take a share of recovered money.
- We will never call or message you first. Anyone who does so in our name is a fraudster.
How the site is funded
The site may show advertising to cover its costs. Ads never influence what we write. If we ever recommend a paid service, we will say so clearly on that page.
Found a mistake?
Rules change, and we would rather be corrected than be wrong. If a guide no longer matches the official portal, please write to us at contact@unclaimednow.com and we will check and update it.
